Chemical Engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with the production and manufacturing of products through chemical processes. It includes designing equipment, systems, and methods for refining raw materials and mixing, compounding, and processing chemicals to make various products. The main role of Chemical Engineers is to design and troubleshoot processes for producing chemicals, fuels, foods, pharmaceuticals, and biological processes. Students conclude their chemical engineering course equipped with the knowledge to engineer solutions at the molecular level and shape a sustainable future.
Course Information
N3 Certificate or a National Senior Certificate
Berea Technical College is provisionally registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and is also accredited by the Quality Council for Trade and Occupations
(QCTO).
Learners will receive a National N Diploma in Chemical Engineering on completion of the N4-N6 (12 subjects) and 24-months of in service training from the DHET
On completion of the theory component at N6 level, they will receive an additional aligned–diploma from the QCTO and a statement of results from the DHET.
All examinations are set and administered by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). The National N Diplomais issued by the DHET.
