
My name is Randon Naidoo, and I’m a 34-year-old Electrical expert residing in Durban, South Africa. With a strong foundation in Electrical, Electronics, and IT Networking, my journey began in high school, where I developed a passion for IT Networking and Electronics.
During my high school years, I excelled in subjects like Mathematical Literacy, Life Sciences, Geography, and Civil Technology. This solid academic foundation paved the way for my future endeavours. I later enrolled at Berea Technical College, where I received guidance from experienced educators on how to prepare for job opportunities.
My professional journey took off when I joined T.E.C Electrical, where I spent 14 incredible years honing my skills and deepening my love for Electrical Engineering. This formative experience laid the groundwork for my future success.
With 15 years of experience as an Electrician and Industrial Electronics specialist, I’ve worked tirelessly to overcome financial constraints and achieve my goals. My time at Berea Technical College was instrumental in shaping my career, thanks to the mentorship of professional and strict lecturers.
I’ve completed my National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) at Berea Technical College and hold a NATED certification in N2-N6. These qualifications have opened doors to numerous opportunities and provided me with an extraordinary set of theoretical skills that I still utilize today.
Currently, I’m working as a Technical Support Specialist for a leading switchgear company, where I provide expert guidance and support to clients. My role allows me to stay at the forefront of the latest technologies and innovations in the Electrical Engineering field.
My thirst for knowledge has driven me to pursue a Trade Test, which I’m currently undertaking. My advice to others is to never give up on their dreams and to seek guidance from experienced lecturers and peers.
