The Bachelor of Commerce in Law equips students with an integrated understanding of legal and commerce principles within the South African context. Throughout the programme, students develop skills in legal reasoning, business analysis, problem solving, communication, research, corporate governance, risk management and ethical decision-making.
The qualification enables students to identify and analyse legal and business issues, apply relevant legislation and legal principles, and develop appropriate solutions to challenges within commercial and organisational environments. Students also gain an understanding of economic and business factors that influence organisational performance, as well as the role of corporate governance, compliance and risk management in responsible business operations. Through the application of legal and commercial knowledge, graduates are prepared to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders and contribute professionally to legal, corporate, business and regulatory environments.

Course Information
You may enter the BCom programme, with any one of the following:
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Bachelor pass, or
- An equivalent NQF level 4 qualification with proven proficiency in English.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), on approval.
The BCom LAW Degree is accredited by the Higher Education Quality Committee [HEQC] of the Council on Higher Education [CHE] and is registered on the National Qualifications Framework [NQF] with the South African Qualifications Authority [SAQA].

On successful completion of the programme, the student will receive a degree certificate conferred by the College Rector at the college’s official graduation ceremony
- Contract Administrator – Pay Estimate: +/- R180 000 to R300 000 a year
- Legal Advisor – Pay Estimate: +/- R180 000 to R280 000 a year
- Finance Journalism – Pay Estimate: +/- R216 000 to R350 000 a year

Once you have achieved the BCom accounting degree, you may advance into:
- The Honour’s level (NQF 8) or a postgraduate diploma in Business Management, Financial Accounting and the Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management.
