Why Choose the Programme?
As highly skilled craftspeople, Fitters and Turners are responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment. The more experienced Fitters and Turners can study plans and then manufacture, construct, assemble and fit components for machinery, vehicles, and other apparatuses. They are also able to set up the machinery to manufacture engineering products and repair or replace products.
Course Information
Grade 12 or equivalent
Berea Technical College is provisionally registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and is also accredited by the Quality Council for Trade and Occupations (QCTO). All examinations are set and administered by the DHET.
Upon completion, students will receive a DHET-issued Statement of Results for trade school entry, along with a QCTO Certificate in General Draughting
