Course Information

You may enter the National N Diploma programme, with any one of the following:

  • A National Senior Certificate
  • Senior Certificate or a National Certificate N3 Food Services.

The National N Diploma is accredited by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). All examinations are set and administered by the Department and the final qualification is issued by the DHET on completion.

Learners will receive the following at each level:
  • National Certificate N4, N5, N6
  • National N Diploma in Hospitality and Catering on completion of N4-N6 and 18-months of in-service training
  • Restaurant and Bar Activities, Function Planning & Events – Pay Estimate: +/- R192 000 to R400 000 per year
  • Food Preparation and Catering – Pay Estimate: +/- R156 000 to R280 000 per year
  • Managerial Position- Pay Estimate: +/- R180 000 to R400 000 per year
  • Guest Liaison Services – Pay Estimate: +/- R168 000 to R285 000 per year
